Annual Report 2008

The Facing History and Ourselves 2008 Annual Report highlights our activities and accomplishments from July 2007 through June 2008. Its opening text speaks to the critical need for our work:

Challenging times create economic and social pressures that can undermine our most basic values. For 32 years Facing History and Ourselves has been offering teachers and students ways to confront prejudice, apathy, fear, and violence.

By teaching students to think critically, to empathize, to recognize moral choices, to make their voices heard, we put in their hands the possibility-and the responsibility-to do the serious work demanded of us all as citizens.

This annual report is grouped according to the four sections of our strategic plan.
